Seattle Alumnae Chapter History

The Seattle Alumnae Chapter was established on November 21, 1908. At the time it was established, Theta used Greek letters to name the alumnae chapters so it was originally the “Omicron Alumnae.” Yes, it was confusing and the practices was changed several years later. According to the first “chapter letter” in the magazine, there had been a Seattle Alumnae Club that had been meeting for awhile before it was organized into a chapter.
